June/July Update

For the next few weeks, you will see a limited number of trucks along Friars Road “potholing.” This preliminary work is required to verify that utilities align as shown in building plans.

The work will occur daily from 9am-2pm, and only on weekdays, between Gaines Street and Fashion Valley Road. Work will begin on the western end toward Gaines Street and progress east toward Fashion Valley Road.

One lane of traffic on the south side of Friars Road will be closed at a time.

This work is expected to last three weeks. We apologize for any construction noise you may hear. We are limiting working hours from 9am-2pm to minimize the inconvenience.

Overall Project Update

The permitting process for Phase 1 of Riverwalk is underway. We anticipate permitting and design to last throughout the remainder of 2021. Construction work should begin in earnest in early 2022. Minor tasks like the potholing may occur between now and then, but we don’t anticipate much construction activity until early 2022. We hope to share preliminary plans and renderings within the next six weeks.
