One of the major elements in the Western 9 Miles of the San Diego River Park vision made a major step forward when the City of San Diego Planning Commission unanimously endorsed the proposed redevelopment of the Riverwalk Golf Course. We have worked for several years with the project proponents to advance a major park and open space feature of the proposal. More than 80 acres are set aside in the project for River restoration, open space and a future City park. The project incorporates a new Fashion Valley Road bridge over the River and many other benefits.

We are supporting the project, and hope that the San Diego City Council will support our recommendation as well as that of the Mission Valley Planning Group, City Planning Commission and many others.
